Different Styles of Wedding Photography: Capturing the Magic

Your photos will be cherished for a lifetime, so it’s essential to find different styles of wedding photography that resonate with you both. As you embark on this beautiful journey together, one of the most exciting decisions you’ll make is choosing your wedding photographer.

Working Styles

1. Traditional: This timeless style focuses on classic, posed shots. Think of elegant group photos and formal portraits. This style resonates with Ariana Nicole Photography the most, although we can adapt to many different styles by request.

2. Photojournalistic: Also known as documentary or candid photography, this style captures moments as they happen naturally, without much intervention from the photographer. It’s perfect for couples who want their day to be captured authentically.

3. Fine Art & Fashion: This style focuses on creating stunning, artistic images. Expect beautiful compositions, creative angles, and a dreamy feel. Ideal for couples who want to add a touch of glamour to their wedding album. Fashion photographers bring a high-fashion aesthetic to your wedding day, creating editorial-worthy images.

4. Adventure: A style that specializes in going to epic locations! Sounds fun, however there are a lot of logistics when hiking or traveling with camera equipment.

5. Vintage: Perfect for couples who love a touch of nostalgia. Vintage-style photography uses editing techniques to give photos a classic, timeless look.

6. Dramatic: If you love bold, striking images, this style is for you. Dramatic photography uses lighting and editing to create impactful, theatrical photos.

7. Natural Light: As the name suggests, this style relies on natural light to create soft, dreamy images. Perfect for outdoor weddings or venues with plenty of natural light. Ariana Nicole Photography is mostly natural light unless we need to use bounce flash for a little extra fill light.

Ask your photographer what style they edit in. Every photographer is different. With years of experience, they can master the art of photo editing. There are hundreds of methods for photo editing so be sure your photographer has a fast and efficient way to process your images.

1. Light & Airy: This editing style is characterized by bright, soft, and ethereal tones. It creates a light, romantic feel and is perfect for couples who love a dreamy, whimsical look.

2. Dark & Moody: On the other end of the spectrum, this editing style features deep, rich tones and creates a dramatic, mysterious atmosphere. Ideal for couples looking for a more intense, artistic vibe.

3. True to Color: This editing style aims to preserve the natural colors and tones of the scene, providing a true-to-life representation of your wedding day. It’s perfect for couples who want their photos to accurately reflect the colors and atmosphere of their special day. Ariana Nicole Photography is true to color.
